Accessibility

At The Insurance Charity we are committed to making our website accessible to everyone, regardless of the technology or the ability of the user.

We are always working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and adhere to available standards and guidelines.

Clear structure and text

We’ve designed our website with a clear and consistent structure, colour scheme and font, making it easier for screen readers to interpret the content.

You can adjust the text on our website to suit your preferences via your website browser settings. Alternatively, you can scale the text by pressing [+] and [-] keys whilst holding down Control (Windows) and Command (Mac).

Descriptive links

We try to use descriptive links wherever possible to help users understand where each link will take them, enhancing navigation for all users.

Links within content are identified by being in bold and then show as underlined when you click. Links open in the same window unless linking to external websites or otherwise stated.

Document downloads

Some documents on this website are available to download as PDF files. To view or print these, you may need to install software such as Adobe Acrobat. The Adobe website: Accessibility at Adobe provides tools and information to help make Adobe PDF files accessible to users with visual disabilities.

Responsive design

Our website has been designed to recognise if you’re using a mobile device. Content will be automatically resized based on the size of the screen you’re looking at.

Feedback

While we’re proud of the efforts we have made to enhance accessibility on our website, we acknowledge that there may still be areas that require improvement. We are continually reviewing our website to identify any accessibility issues and address them promptly. If you encounter any limitations to accessibility, or have suggestions for improvement, please contact:
