Who we
can help

If you’ve worked in insurance and are experiencing misfortune and financial hardship, we may be able to help. Whatever your role, you can apply for support.

Perhaps you have or had an insurance specific role such as underwriting, broking, providing customer advice in a contact centre or loss adjusting. Alternatively, you may have had a non-insurance specific role in the industry such as marketing, IT, or HR. No matter your job title, or how long you’ve spent in the industry, we’re here to help.

We support people who are just starting out and those who’ve spent decades in the industry. As well as retired people who are receiving a pension, or those with a deferred pension.

We can also help you if you’re a dependant (like a partner or child) of a current or former insurance employee.

FAQs
Apply for support
Gemma

We just need everyone who applies for our support to confirm that:

  • They work or worked in the insurance industry in the UK or Ireland.
  • That an element of misfortune has arisen (unexpected life events like redundancy, ill health, disability, or domestic abuse) that has left them struggling financially.
  • That their income and savings are restricted.

We consider each application on its individual merits. Once we’ve received your application, and any documents confirming eligibility, we’ll arrange an online meeting or home visit.

You can visit our FAQs page for more information about the application process and eligibility criteria.
