housing issues

Are you struggling with a housing issue? The Insurance Charity has an established partnership with Shelter UK  that enables us to refer current and former UK insurance employees for in-depth housing advice. Our financial support may also be provided where needed. 

Shelter UK can provide specialist support to people who need help with: 

  • Disrepair, damp and mould 
  • Homelessness 
  • Tenants’ rights and landlord responsibilities 
  • Rights in relation to the eviction process and re-entry to the property 
  • Homelessness prevention including negotiating with lenders and landlords to avoid court proceedings
