On Tuesday 14 October we headed to the picturesque Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club for our much anticipated charity golf day.
The tournament kicked off with bacon rolls followed by shotgun start on the club’s Championship 18-hole course. The weather remained dry all day and all our players found the course challenging but enjoyable!
The day was rounded off by a fantastic dinner, prize-giving ceremony and raffle.
The individual winner with 43 points was Darren Vickery who took home the prestigious Julius Neave Trophy – and not for the first time!
Second place went to Damien Euston with 41 points, and third place went to Matt Wade with 37 points, who won on back 9 countback with 17.
The nearest the pin competition was won by Russ Thompson and the longest drive competition by Scott Davis.
Questgates took home the team award with 93 points. The loss-adjusters had put in two teams on the day, and players in the winning four-ball were Alistair Steward, Matt Wade, Dave Erskine and Russ Thompson.
We’d like to thank Clive Bevan for supporting us on the day with his expertise and scoring skills.
Our thanks also go to Ageas, WTW, The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club and Virginia Hayward Hampers for generously donating raffle prizes.
Almost £500 was raised at the event so our appreciation goes to everyone who kindly donated.
